Last week, I posted about writing a creative industries cover letter. Now Clearly Creative CVs has received another 5 Star review which specifically mentions the cover letter tips that I give in the book:

“Very useful and good read for anyone new trying to get into the industry. The book contains great tips in CV writing and how to compose a well thought out cover letter. I honestly only started hearing back from employers after using the tips in this book and I am now thankfully employed. Definitely a good purchase and if you feel at a loss when trying to get into the industry this will serve as a good stepping stone.”

Reviews like this are always satisfying to read. Someone’s gained employment after changing how they approach finding work after reading my book. And that person has then won more work.

Inside the book there’s a whole chapter devoted to covering letters, as there’s an art to writing them.

Tips for a Cover Letter

creative industry cover letterApplicants mistakenly put the content from their Personal Introduction in to the cover letter. Your covering letter is not abot you, or your skills. It should demonstrate how you’ve interpreted what the employer needs, what problems they have and how you can solve them.

When you know the right phrases to use, and the right structure to follow you’ll be fine.
