For this lesson you’re going to write down all the ways you can think of to find work. I’m suggesting you use a Spider Diagram. That’s where you start in the middle with a ‘body’ with the question “How will I look for work?” in the middle. You can do this in your own notepad, or there’s a template here:
From this centre circle, add a ‘leg’ and at the end of it a ‘body’ and put inside a method of finding work. Then break that ‘body’ down again, getting more and more detailed.
So you might go:
How do I find work?
> Social Media
From Social media you link to
And from Facebook, you’d link to
> Animation Groups
> Production Companies
> Broadcasters
Spend a good five to ten minutes doing this. Make sure each thread is 3-4 levels deep. The deeper you go, the more specific the idea, and therefore more easily defined and actioned.
Here’s what it might look like – I’ve left it blank as I want you to think this through without my undue influence!
