Coaching photographers is always interesting, since they have the joint challenges of finding commissions and also managing and exploiting their ever growing portfolio of work. This photographer, whose portrait work of the likes of Adele and Sir Ian McKellan has appeared in national newspapers and magazines, came to me looking to tackle the marketing side of their work.

“Working with Gavin offered me the opportunity to focus more effectively on and examine the operation, structure and management of my business. Many of the ideas and actions that came up in the sessions I was able to implement the following week. It allowed me to really focus my thoughts on the business and give it its own identity. I’ve also felt a real sense of re-invigoration in my attitude to the business through making small but significant steps of progress.

I appreciated Gavin’s calm and logical approach to the issues I was facing with my business. He is very good at asking questions, some of these questions are difficult to answer, some have been avoided for too long and some, when put to me, are almost blindingly obvious. I was encouraged to work through problems with his guidance and discover for myself the best answer for me and my business.”

It was really rewarding to work with this photographer and watch his practise thrive. Are you a photographer looking for coaching? Then get in touch.
