Getting that Foot Through The Door
Last autumn I did a CV workshop, and the organiser has just invited me back to do another session. In her email she mentioned this anecdote about one ex-student who was not getting work:
I gave your book to one of my alumni who was really struggling to get interviews and his foot in the door – he is extremely talented, but he wasn’t portraying that on his CV. After reading it he completely revamped his CV and was offered the next job he applied for! What a fantastic testimony for your book – so I will say thank you on his behalf 🙂
How brilliant is that? This story really made my day as this is exactly why I wrote the book – to help creative people express their abilities, and get the job. So pleased I helped him!
