I’ve made a start on the CVs for the job we’re advertising for a researcher/junior account handler. Over the next few posts I’m going to be telling you about my experiences of doing the cull: going through the 200 CVs, trying to quickly get down to maybe 20 to really read properly and then interview 10 of those. You can see why getting your TV CV format is right; if it’s not easily readable, there are plenty more to choose from.

So first up, a PDF. This is how it looked on my computer. Don’t know why. I had to open it up in PhotoShop to see the text, however the person recruiting might not have this on their computer.

So make sure you check your files work. Send them to friends and ask them to open on their computers.

There’s more about delivering your CV in the application chapter of my CV Book.
